Operations Manager

Centralia, WA
Full Time
Experienced

We’re not looking for someone who simply needs a job. We’re looking for someone who is already doing well, gets paid fairly, and works hard, but wants more responsibility, more influence, and a real opportunity to help grow a business.

Our Tumwater location currently has a team of approximately 10 people and is steadily growing. We’re looking for the next key leader who can learn the operation, earn the team’s trust, and eventually take ownership of the branch.

Maybe you have a good job but no clear path forward. Maybe you’re ready for a bigger challenge and want your results to be recognized. If you want to work with capable people, solve meaningful problems, and help build something, not simply work in it, we should talk.

What it looks like

Phase 1: Learn the Business (People, Product, Process)

Before you can lead the operation, you need to understand the people, work, and systems behind it.

  • Work alongside our crews to understand how we build and how the field operates.

  • Work with our PM’s to understand customer expectations and project flow.

  • Spend time in the shop and yard learning our materials, and logistics.

  • Learn our numbers, processes, standards, and expectations.

  • Establish yourself as someone the team respects, trusts, and can rely on.

You’ll spend time in the field, in the office, and on the phone. This is hands-on, not observation from behind a desk.

We’ll establish expectations and a clear plan up front, and review progress regularly. Advancement will be based on demonstrated ownership, judgment, leadership, and results.

Phase 2 – Operations Manager

Once you have demonstrated that you understand the business and can lead the team, you’ll take ownership of branch operations.

  • Own the branch’s operational performance.

  • Hiring, development, accountability, and difficult people decisions.

  • Solve the problems that prevent the team from succeeding.

  • Hold people accountable while setting the standard yourself.

  • Improve systems, productivity, quality, and the customer experience.

  • Work with leadership team to grow the Tumwater location.

You will be a vital piece in growing and improving this branch

What strong performance earns you:

  • $80,000 - $150,000 + upside (willing to pay extremely well for the right fit)

  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance for you and your entire family. 100% paid by us

  • Company vehicle + gas card. Available for professional and personal use

  • PTO. If you’re producing results, take as much as you need.

  • 401(k) retirement plan

Don’t Apply If:

  • You want the title without first earning the team’s trust.

  • You avoid hard conversations.

  • You want a “balanced, low-stress” job.

Apply If:

  • You take ownership, no matter what.

  • You’re the one people already respect and can rely on.

  • You’ve led crews, jobs, or teams and know what it takes.

  • You don’t wait around to be told what to do.

  • You want to work on something bigger, not just work in it.

This role comes with people problems, customer problems, time pressure, and occasional chaos. It also comes with the opportunity to build a team, improve a branch, develop as a leader, and earn meaningful compensation based on the value you create.

Bottom Line

If you’re already succeeding but want more responsibility, growth, and a legitimate path toward running a branch, let’s have a confidential conversation.

You don’t need to be actively job hunting to talk with us.
