Cascade Fence & Deck

About Us

We are Cascade Fence and Deck, one of the fastest-growing outdoor living companies in the PNW. We build amazing backyards, but our real strength is the people behind the work. We're not your typical contractor. We value grit, humor, ownership, accountability, and genuinely caring for each other.

We have our eyes set on scaling this to a $50M+ company and to get there, we need a Chief Financial Officer who can bring structure, clarity, and financial discipline to a fast-growing, boots-on-the-ground operation.

This role is about more than spreadsheets, it’s about helping build a durable, scalable business that we all want to work for.

The Role

As CFO, you will take full ownership of the company’s financial strategy, systems, and performance. You will oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting while working closely with operations and other department leaders.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will build processes, improve visibility, and help the leadership team make smart, data-driven decisions as we scale.

What You Will Do

  • Own company-wide financial strategy, planning, and execution for CFD and parent company
  • Oversee accounting, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close
  • Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models
  • Create dashboards and reporting that clearly show company performance
  • Partner with Operations and Sales to improve margins, pricing, and profitability
  • Ensure financial controls, compliance, and risk management are dialed in
  • Help leadership make confident decisions using accurate, timely financial data
  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for cost control and growth

What You Bring

  • If you have experience, great! If not, we can train you in.
  • Background in budgeting, forecasting, or cash flow management
  • Experience scaling a growing business would be a big plus but not required
  • Clear communicator who can explain financials to non-financial leaders
  • Analytical, decisive, and comfortable making calls with imperfect information
  • Hands-on leadership style with ownership, resilience, and accountability
  • Ability to take feedback, avoid drama, and thrive in a fast-moving environment

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80,000–$150,000 DOE
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for you and your family
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • 401(k)
  • Cellphone covered
  • All local work

Why You’d Love It Here

  • Real ownership and real influence on company direction
  • A seat at the leadership table with meaningful decision-making power
  • Direct impact on growth, profitability, and long-term stability
  • A team that works hard, laughs hard, supports each other, and pushes toward huge goals

Why You’d Hate It Here

  • If you bring politics, drama, or personal agendas into work
  • If you're more worried about offending someone than getting things done.
  • If you overcomplicate simple decisions and slow the team down
  • If titles and credentials matter more to you than real-world results
